Description

Join us Feb. 17 for this virtual event bringing together subject-matter experts in skills-based hiring, assessment, curriculum, work-based learning and economic development. This event is being hosted by ApprenticeshipNC, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and ACT, a nonprofit organization focused on education and workforce success.

Apprenticeships integrated with ACT Workforce Solutions help employers identify and close their skill gaps. Educators can align curriculum and set entry/exit benchmarks based on employer needs. Workforce developers help foster long-term career pathway success. Community leaders join forces with employers to attract new job investment through Work Ready Communities.

Speakers and panelists will provide insight on apprenticeship solutions for youth and young adults and shed light on what is working in communities across the state. By drawing on successful North Carolina apprenticeship solutions, employer and partner panelists will share how regions are coming together, and what resources exist to help build and expand registered apprenticeships for youth and young adults.
