I recognized that there was a shortage of talent in the cyber security industry. Rather than follow the typical route for recruiting, I wanted to develop a program that would help with training and recruiting at the same time.

Tony Marshall, president and CEO of Innovative Systems Group (ISG), knows the importance of apprenticeship programs and the role they play in shaping the workforce.

“I recognized that there was a shortage of talent in the cyber security industry. Rather than follow the typical route for recruiting, I wanted to develop a program that would help with training and recruiting at the same time,” Marshall said.

Through the partnership with ApprenticeshipNC, ISG is bridging the gap between recruitment and the changing landscape of employment.

“We have the ability to find motivated people and train and nurture them,” Marshall said. “In return, the talent that we see come through the program are really excited about what they’re doing.”

According to Marshall, ISG is committed to developing and growing the specific skills needed for candidates to succeed in their field.

“When you take the time to invest in your employees and help them succeed, you establish a high level of loyalty that is unmatched,” Marshall added. “I find that our apprentices are more engaged and are more excited about training and learning new skills simply because we have taken the time to invest in them and their future. That in and of itself is priceless.”
