Rebecca is the Director of the Raleigh-Durham Electrical JATC apprenticeship program, which was registered  in Durham, NC in 1980. While the apprenticeship and employment program has been and remains very successful, there were growing concerns about diversifying the talent pool. In 2018, Ms. Axford registered a pre-apprenticeship program focusing on recruitment of minorities, women, veterans and youth – and partnered with the Durham Workforce Development to populate the first cohort.
